Development of fresh and local products
Acquired by the Duval Group in October 2017, Atelier du Poissonnier is a fresh produce and canning business based in Normandy. Born of our strong desire to develop a brand already positioned in a premium segment, our Group has brought its skills and commitment to creating a new high-performance production unit and developing the fresh food business by opening new boutiques.
The Duval Group will develop the digital offer of the Atelier du Poissonnier by creating an online sales system for its products and combining it with innovative payment methods, in particular with the Lydia application. This partnership marks a crucial step in the development of the brand. This set of services aims to increase sales by facilitating the purchasing process, securing and monitoring sales.
Food products from Asia
Since 2013, the Duval Group has specialized in food products. The Group imports Asian products into the French ethnic market and has positioned itself as one of the main players in its sector. The Group offers rice cakes and noodles made in Vietnam, as well as rice, including jasmine long grain rice harvested and processed in Cambodia (named best rice producer country in 2018). We are also in the business of organic and fair trade rice. Directly imported from Asia and more particularly from Thailand, China, Vietnam and India, our dry goods range consists of sauces and condiments, rice, noodles, preserves and rice cakes.
Development of the Foods business
A new step has confirmed the Group’s ambition to be a benchmark operator in the Asian food market in France. Now present on the French ethnic market, in out-of-home catering and supermarkets, the Duval Group benefits from synergies in terms of sales, R&D and marketing in order to best meet the needs of their respective customers. High value-added products are produced through fair trade, with an emphasis on seeking out new exclusive sourcing opportunities in Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and Cambodian brands.
2019 represents a strong and coherent transition phase for the Duval Group’s Asian food business: strategic development at the service of quality, traceability and equity (local supply secured within the scope of win-win agreements), fully in line with the values promoted by Groupe Duval.
